I don’t remember when I actually signed up for a Facebook account. I do know I was there before the spring of 2009.

What’s been so awesome is catching up with friends from my childhood and early adult life, keeping up with my far away family and keeping up with the friends from more recent years. And there is always the joy of making new friends.

What is so sad about being on Facebook is I’m seeing deaths that I probably wouldn’t have even known about if I had not been on Facebook. I was counting how many people I’ve cared about and the number of deaths were pretty hefty (imo). What brought about the count was the fact that the husband of an old school friend passed on Christmas Day and 2 days later another guy from school passed. As far as I can recall, including these two, there have been close to a dozen. This includes those I learned of on Facebook and those who had no facebook connections.

That’s just too many for me to comprehend. The worst part is it how it hurts. Some of these people I had just reconnected with and brought awesome memories. Then, just as suddenly as they came back in my life, they were gone… without the opportunity to connect again, in person.

I had sent my sister a very long text on this subject and by the time I had typed it in, tears made it hard to see my keyboard (I’m not the best texter in the world). I just hope that the opportunities were not missed on my part.

If you have friends on Facebook, don’t wait until it’s too late to truly catch up with them.

Outside my window… it’s cloudy, but I think the rain has stopped. Glad it’s rain and not snow.

I am hoping… to get everything done I need to before the end of the year,

I am thinking… about what I can do to properly prepare myself for the new year.

I am thankful for… a roof over my head, warm blankets and food to eat.

I am wearing… a t-shirt that says “National Flirting Academy – Player of the Champions”.

I am creating… nothing at the moment, but have some sewing and painting to do starting tomorrow.

I am going… to town to get refills on meds and a new CPAP mask.

I am reading… a religious magazine and my scriptures.

I am hearing… the fan on my computer. That’s weird because I usually hear more. Rain must be why it’s quiet.

One of my favorite things… Black Cocker Spaniels!

I am thinking… It’s already October 2…… where has this year gone?

I am thankful for… a husband who takes such good care of me

I am wearing… White and pink sneakers, blue jeans and a red shirt that has a moose on it.

I am creating… a mess while hoping to get other things done.

I am going… go fix a cup of tea – herbal.

I am reading… a romance I’m judging for a contest. Can’t say which one LOL

I am hearing… someone in the kitchen.

On my mind… I’m wondering if my headache will still be here in the morning.

From the kitchen… trying to decide on grilled cheese and onion rings or carryout pizza.

One of my favorite things… M&Ms with Peanuts!

Today hubby and I have been talking about what to do within the next month or so. Actually we have 3 weeks to figure the most important thing. That being if he is going to go out of state for 7 or 8 months for vocational training. This is NOT my first choice, but I have always promised to support him (yes, even if I think he’s about to do the dumbest thing ever – but only if it’s not life threatening). So, we’re hoping to know the answer by the end of this coming week.

Why?

It’s going to be more expensive than any of my endeavors to become more educated (combined).

We would be supporting 2 households because I would not be going with him.

I get the feeling he really doesn’t want to drive the old car we have (even though we will be towing it out of state and back home when he is ready).

I had a melt down yesterday and I think that may have had something to do with him questioning his decision.

We need more $$$ to get where we need to be.

So, show me those green backs so we can accomplish his dreams.
